Rutgers University — Sojourner Truth Apartments at the Yard

Project Description

Designed to support students’ transition from on-campus to off-campus living, these apartments sit atop a mixed-use ground level that includes 8,000 sf of restaurant and retail space, a tech-transfer lounge and collaborative space, and a 1,500-sf fitness facility.
With accommodations for 442 upperclassmen in two‑, three‑, and four-bedroom apartments, this 14-story building offers views of New Brunswick and Rutgers’ historic Voorhees Mall.
The north and south wings of the building shape a courtyard that serves as an active town square focused on creating community and 24/7 activity for students and the surrounding neighborhood.

The Modern at Fort Lee

Project Description

Rising from a podium above the Palisades and the Hudson River and clad in taut glass curtainwall, this mixed-use lifestyle development makes a striking statement and creates a new landmark combining residences, retail, and dining with easy access to Manhattan.
The two 47-story towers offer 902 luxury apartments and a collection of shared residential amenities, including flexible lounge and dining areas, private outdoor barbeque niches, a large pool, a great lawn area with a jumbotron, fitness venues, a spa, and a business center.
The site’s 1.75-acre public park features a destination restaurant.

Warrior Ice Arena at Boston Landing

Project Description

Designed to National Hockey League standards, this official practice arena for the Boston Bruins is a central component of Boston Landing, a mixed-use health and performance campus in Boston’s Brighton neighborhood.
Designed to accommodate 650 spectators for professional Bruins practice, amateur and intercollegiate competition, and public events, the 74,000-sf arena and and training facility includes retail space, a concessions concourse, function rooms, and the Bruins non-gameday home.
The 220-foot-long curtain wall creates a dramatic presence for the Bruins on the Massachusetts Turnpike at a location highly visible to commuters entering and exiting Boston. The arena is connected to 80 Guest Street, a 180,000-sf office building, and New Balance Headquarters by a landscaped terrace.

Cutler Majestic Theatre

Project Description

Originally built in 1903, this restored Beaux-Arts theatre is now both a high point for Boston theatergoers and a learning tool for Emerson students.
The painstaking restoration and renovation of the 26,000-sf theatre included researching the original palette; replicating seats, velvet curtains, and light fixtures; and re-creating custom wall coverings, paintings, and period carpeting.
Now a 21st-century theatre inside a 20th-century historic landmark, the modernized theatre includes upgraded infrastructure and theatre systems, the fully restored second balcony, expanded lobbies and seating capacity, and improved audience amenities.

The Stanley Building at the Broad Institute

Project Description

This 374,000-sf expansion is the second building on the Broad campus and more than doubles the genomic research institute’s original size with 14 new floors of laboratory, vivarium, and administrative space.
The building’s infrastructure is designed to accommodate changes in research and methodology, including 30,000-sf large floors with few columns for lab and support space, with 15-ft floor heights allowing plug-and-play ventilation and lab utilities delivery from the ceiling.
For this fast-track project, an integrated project team, including the development manager, construction manager, owner and user groups, was central to its success.

Boston Landing

Project Description

This 14-acre development in Brighton is Boston’s health and wellness district and is anchored by New Balance’s five-story, 250,000-sf headquarters.
The full program includes an ice arena for the Boston Bruins, the Boston Celtics training facility, 650,000-square feet of office and laboratory space, a residential tower, a 455,000-square foot professional track and training center, a performance venue, a hotel, retail and restaurant space throughout the 1.4 acres of public open space.
